Bede’s bones have been @durhamcathedral since 1022. Brought from Jarrow by a monk named Alfred & buried beside Cuthbert’s relics, they were later moved to the Galilee Chapel. The Rites of Durham (written c.1593) records details of Bede’s medieval tomb.

@ERP_Champion I majored essentially in (medieval) English lit, with a minor in religion, did an MA in Medieval Studies at Durham, with a little crossover into archaeology, and am now pursuing my DPhil in the History Faculty at Oxford. It's totally possible to switch departments!

Donned my archaeological science cap today to visit the Oxford Radiation Accelerator Unit and see the accelerator in the flesh (so to speak). So much metal (and so many magnets) to deal with such a small amount of 14C!
