@CFIB Our municipal health boards (especially in Toronto,) are over-worked, understaffed, and unable to advocate for us (in PSS,) and we need help. In the 6 mths we were allowed to work in ‘20, there was next to no workplace transmission. Got time to talk about it?

Toronto has had the longest lockdown in North America, w indoor dining closed for exactly 300 days since the pandemic began. Here is the data:
Restaurants: 171 consecutive days (300 total)
Gyms: 164 consecutive days (293 total)
Hair/nail salons: 129 consecutive days (221 total)

If @fordnation waits until Saturday to implement this “lockdown,” we’re gonna be faced with another spike in cases by mid-April, just like we saw in January, after he let everyone congregate for Xmas, and then we’re gonna see another 3 months of “grey lockdown.” SMH

@blogTO Even if they did work, they don’t work they way Ford, de Villa and Tory are imposing them. Last year it was “two weeks to flatten the curve,” but many of us were locked out of work for 3.5 mths. Now, we’re locked out for 4.5 mths,& are facing another lockdown?!

So, why, @JohnTory , are we among the last to be granted a return to work, when we’re among the safest businesses outside of medicine to be in? The standards that we’re held to should showcase how safely we can operate - and how well we can manage our clients...

Lots of other personal services in Toronto, besides hair salons & barber shops, @TorontoStar. Tattoo shops in the city (& prov,) are better & more prepared than any retail, & we don’t think the standards are too high; it took very little adjustment for us to reopen last time.
