@Iamtammytavares Most of the DFW suburbs are quite tidy and orderly. The bad areas are parts of south and west Dallas and industrial communities like Garland and Arlington.
@parismilansyd I agree that they tend to be financially a drain on cities, yet sports teams never seem to decline in value while cities that lose them do.
I rarely disagree with Aaron, but when it comes to pro sports, losing a team is a big deal. Unlike other sectors, sports continues to grow and wield cultural influence like nothing else in our day and age.
If the Bears do move to Indiana, the impact on Chicago and Illinois will be minimal. There isn't a huge direct economic impact from Bears games, and the city's status and reputation are not tied to having the team.
@JonnyRoot_@Dodgers To think that people should be proud of damaging anal tissue and allow the nastiest of diseases to run rampant on human populations is pretty sick.
@bold_perception Iโm half European and half American, and the best I can say about most Europeans I know are polite mediocrities who are brainwashed to think that they are so much smarter and wiser than they really are.
@BWLH_ DART in Dallas is similar. I walked through their headquarter office and it was instantly obvious that these was an essentially a jobs program for blacks.
@MWN_STPatrick Stevie had a string of inspired albums throughout the seventies, then wallowed into mediocrity by the eighties. โPart Time Loversโ was better than โI just calledโฆโ but still, neither are as good asโSuperstitionโ or โGolden Ladyโ.
@Richard_Florida The problem is that the traditional downtown office tower with 10k SF floor plates is now considered quite undesirable by large companies. They prefer larger floor plates that are built to suit and is situated closer to where their employees actually live.
@honigmaydl Agreed. Europe is the only continent that has been completely terraformed by humans. The countryside is essentially artificial, even though itโs beautiful.
