@bswagspeare @OVTweetmarck Generally, yes, but the Church holds that liceity is also *required* for validity for Confession and Marriage, which is why Pope Francis explicitly gave faculties to the SSPX for those sacraments, so that they wouldn't be invalid.

@StuffForSisters The problem with such traps are that they are indiscriminate and can easily hurt innocent people. Although, this distinguishes such a trap from the concrete mailbox, whereby it's hard to see how it hurts anyone who isn't intent on malice.

@StuffForSisters I like the argument from law that such booby traps are to be prohibited because there is a good chance for them to hurt innocent people. Many strangers may have good cause to enter your property eg mailman, emergency services, lost hikers etc.

@andalg1 @ccfc_07 Not really. Saskatchewan in Canada already abolished DST; Russia also abolished DST. Do you think they don't suffer similarly to Scotland? Fact is the shift every 6 months is so bad for our circadian rhythms, it much outweighs marginal benefits.

@jusderaisingroy Probably a fractured rib. Happened to me a couple of times. Doc said it will heal on its own but take OTC painkillers so it doesn't hurt to breathe, as it's bad if you don't fully inhale due to the pain. I didn't even get an X-ray.

@WorldByWolf Three strikes = 1 year is actually very moderate. Three strike laws in US could see life sentences for three felonies if one involved violence.
