@BatSource1 So is Charles Dance in a different role too then? And what about ScarJo? If Brian Tyree Henry is actually playing Dent then certainly Dance can’t be playing his dad
@Praxtaa Snyderverse had blockbuster swag and aesthetics whether the movies were good or not. Every Gunn movie has the same unserious vibe. It was an interesting rule breaker for the MCU with GOTG but you can’t build an entire franchise on that
@bbbbbbbbbbrady It’s realistic and tactical but in a way that still looks like fabric you can move around in. Whereas the Bale suits look like thick hardshell armor that are more akin to an action figure than genuine clothing
@nathanrobii IMAX is designed and shot in that ratio to be an immersive experience. You’re not actually supposed to look at any of the extra frame, it just fills your peripheral on the giant screen. Most of the shots are bad composition if you were to watch it on a standard screen.
@mjarbo Yup. Her post comes off like she’s accusing someone of labor exploitation yet she isn’t mad at anyone that made the film… so what was the point of the post??
@JonShaivitz That was my only issue with her post. Like sure you can/should speak about the state of the film industry and how crew are often overworked. But don’t frame it like you were deliberately exploited. You worked on a low budget film nobody withheld your fair compensation.
@BrndnStrssng Does it suck when you break down that hourly rate? Absolutely. But it’s not like the producers were paying the crew pennies so they could pocket the difference. I’m sure that 750k budget was tight and they did the best they could to make the movie happen.
@BrndnStrssng I think the only issue with the post is that it’s written like a labor exploitation exposé or that she’s seeking compensation for some injustice that was done to her. A well thought out discussion about the state of the industry would’ve been more effective.
@mothmaryy I don’t really get why she posted this. The people responsible for paying her during production (who she isn’t even mad at) are not the same people making $300M… it was a low budget film it’s not like there was some big pay discrepancy
