I just spent 12 hours stress-testing Gemini Pro 3.0.

The results were startling.

The barrier between "technical" and "non-technical" is gone.

- chromium → most browsers
- android → 3b+ phones
- tensorflow, jax, tpu papers → shaped ml infrastructure
- transformer paper → changed the world
- mapreduce, borg, spanner, protobufs, kubernetes → cloud & infra as we know it

meanwhile openai, despite the open in the name, is philosophically closed.

the founders of google have left so much legacy for good in the world. that has to be lauded. can’t imagine two other people who have had such an enormous impact on modern life.
