@johnpike15@JohnRWoodJr This is Twitter -- if people were in terrific monogamous relationships, they wouldn't be wasting their time here! Just like m-- dammit!
@seanferrick and @TrekCulture-- idea for a #StarTrek list: Myths about Star Trek
Myth 1: Vulcans Don't/Can't Lie (yeah they do)
Myth 2: Data doesn't age (he has an aging program)
@WebberTimothy watched your appearance in @TheCW_Legends. Gotta ask, with that distinctive voice (and it's a long shot): did you narrate the opening of the TV version of #dune released in 1988?
Currently reading the #Dune prequels, and even though it'll never happen, I can see @actordougjones playing the evil robot Erasmus in a film adaptation.
Conversations around the #slap invariable lead to people subconsciously whipping out the Intersectionality Spreadsheets to determine when it's acceptable to hit another human being.
@You_aint_black_ @starmomlyn@NeNe_LaShaun Because, unfortunately, thatโs just as dismissive. Race and ethnicity, like it or not, construct or not, is important. Itโs *how* we talk about it that should be refined, not that we talk about it at all
@starmomlyn@NeNe_LaShaun But thatโs just me. I just wonโt contribute to the Orwellian way the language of identity has evolved into by putting myself or my family into categories that are purposely meant to be divisive.
@starmomlyn@NeNe_LaShaun Since โbrownโ can mean so many different things depending on the context, it loses any significance except in the language of victimhood (when used unironically). (5/)
@starmomlyn@NeNe_LaShaun It assumes an individualโs worth in the context of other peopleโs physical characteristics, which of course is a type of prejudice (4/)
@starmomlyn@NeNe_LaShaun Reducing identity into bite-sized colors or acronyms is inherently limiting, and that places individuals in these gatekeeping or gatekept lanes (3/)
