Let's hypothesize and say Caitlin Clark goes to Toronto. The sales of her new jersey here in Indiana would be ridiculous. They'd be everywhere, both to support 22 and in protest of this historic administrative fumble to protect a coach who's obviously in over her head.
The admin of the Fever and the WNBA fundamentally do not understand how to handle a true sports icon. They just don't. They want every player to have tons of fans.
Equity.
It simply doesn't work that way, ladies.
This is competition, and on the battlefield, the troops LOVE their leaders. We may be envious of them, but we don't undermine them. With them, we ALL WIN.
Men intuitively understand this. Lots of women just don't. Sorry. It's a simple law of life. They wanted the money, they wanted the fame, but they don't want the scrutiny and accountability that comes with it. It makes them feel yucky.
They cannot have it both ways. If I had to bet, my money would be on the Fever being out of Indiana in 10 years. They're going to double down until they ruin this, Caitlin will leave, ratings will plummet, and Indiana will not forgive or forget what this cliquey lesbian mean girls club did here.
And make no mistake, that's EXACTLY what this is. They are in charge, they know people will give them money to fail, and they're happy as pigs in shit to take that money... and to fail.

Morning @angryfansports. To answer the question in your latest video about supporting the Fever if CC leaves:
This is Indiana. Lots of Hoosiers consider their state basketball Mecca. Clark landing here was a big deal for this state.
We thought the female version of Jason Kidd had just landed in our lap, and the right coach for her might be the next Bobby Knight. Then the Pacers had their run. Shit was coming together.
If the current drama and open sabotage results in this kid leaving Indy, my guess is the francise itself will be next, as support, attendance, and viewership will implode. Maybe that's been the plan all along, to get the team out of this hick state.
She got them their money, and that only emboldened them to now go full character assassination.
Nike's actions alone prove this is has all been a coordinated directive. There's ZERO reasons they couldn't have dropped two signature shoes by now... at least...each in multiple colorways.
The last 2.5 years has been one of the most frustratingly interesting times in my life. It's a weird place to be in when you KNOW what's happening because you're WATCHING IT, the evidence supporting your assumptions WILL NOT STOP, yet you still see people ignoring or denying the obvious, and attacking those who are simply telling the truth.
Thanks for holding the line on the truth, dude...seriously.
She's the only person I ever remember, in 45 years of watching basketball, to double dribble at least twice in a SINGLE TRIP down court and not get called for it.
Watching the WNBA is like playing Pictionary or Sharades with your friends and their wives. Guys vs girls.
The girls can break the rules and everyone just waves it off and the girls laugh. The dudes are all secretly like, wtf?
