Heya, moving accounts from @arctosfluff to here instead. Kinda just wanted to restart bc I hate my older posts and how I was back then.
Random Pallas bc idk what else to put here rn
I need to explain all of this but I can’t condense it all into a coherent thread when I have 5 years worth of several notebooks and documents on this whole project.
TLDR: consciousness is magic, magic is sourced from a different plane of existence
Anyways somewhat related to the last post, I like to imagine in my worldbuilding that consciousness is in its own, a form of magic, and by sleeping it essentially recharges, thus dreams are a sort of what your consciousness perceives while in the “world” where it charges-
- but is always distorted due to the abstract nature of that world.
Using spells and such would be tiring because of the whole link between consciousness and magic. However this ALSO means that mana potions would quite literally just be energy drinks
As someone who has worked on both of these, all I did to explain teleportation in sci-fi is just create something called a “telescopic warp drive.” Does it make sense? Not really it’s like teleporting nesting dolls but who knows what technologies could be made in the future.
My hot take on this is that sci-fi worldbuilding is much less complicated because half the work has already been done for you. Einstein already figured out relativity for you, all you have to do is just combine random bullshit science words to make some new technology.
The next time someone asks me about my spiritual beliefs I’m just going to start talking about the mythology I’ve been writing for a story but say it with full confidence but then act annoyed/surprised when the other person has no clue what I’m talking about
“Yeah but surely you know about the three concepts?”
“The what?”
“Gravis, Orbis, Polaris, the things keeping the world together, the things Kiiv made before he split himself into the other gods and goddesses”
“That doesn’t ring a bell”
“Clearly Iopa does not favor you”
NACTERA is proud to announce that we do not use ai, and never will.
Be assured, all computing technologies that resemble ai in nature are actually running off of a fully organic computing system made almost entirely of real, live human neurons.
