Considering he has pancake batter on his shirt and some in his hair, it was safe to say the kids were awake but had left just a bit before the other had arrived.

he happily accepts that kiss, returning it with one of his own. so long it had been since he'd taken time to enjoy life like this...he'd nearly forgotten how pleasant it could be.

A kiss to the others lips before he snuggles back down in his loving embrace, it was nice just to be allowed a day in to appreciate the other who he loved with all of his heart.
