Such Suspected cases need to be immediately investigated before admission even if there is a vacant bed. They are temporarily admitted to the Covid Holding Bay

LASUTH would love to admit ALL cases referred to it IMMEDIATELY but unfortunately this is NOT possible. First and foremost, our hospital remains the preferred destination in Lagos axis for complicated medical cases.

He disclosed that the @followlasg's goal is to reverse the current negative trending accessing healthcare and restore trust in the State's health system. He added that future goal is to transform the health system from a consumption system into a contributor to the economy.

In his presentation, @ProfAkinAbayomi noted that net positive migration from Nigeria and the West Africa sub region has increased pressure on existing health infrastructure in Lagos adding also that it has increased vulnerability of Lagos to Biosecurity threats and diseases.
