I just got back from an inspiring visit to @BgcFredericton. What a great group of caring professionals offering such important services for families. If you live in in Fredericton consider connecting with them, because they are doing important work! @BGCCAN #opportunities

[Michael Gerald Gibbs @Mikeggibbs]

Dad's registered nurse today came to Canada not knowing a word of English. Today she is fluent.

Because of the cost of living and how much nurses are underpaid...she is working 7 DAYS A WEEK.

She is FULL TIME at one of the most intense hospitals in Canada in Toronto.

The rest of her time is working as a homecare nurse!

It just breaks your heart.

Imagine. Fulltime at one the most important and busiest hospitals in Canada that's in constant crisis.

PLUS 12 hour homecare shifts.

It's a travesty we don't value and appreciate nurses and literally work them to death.

If your mom is alive call her. Tell her you love her - whether she can remember who you are or what you said. Do it because you can. Do it because you should. Because who knows what gets through, because it will matter as much to you as to her.
I love you mom. Simple words. ❤️
