I am proud to be teaming up with Karen Bass' brother in suing his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our homes. I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn't too awks. I know ours hasn't been the same since last year...
@dom_lucre My son has been compared to him by the Northern Arizona coach. He is 5’ 7” but was running sub 37 in the 300h as a 16 yr old. Splits a 46.1 400. He had to take a break from high hurdles last season because of an injury. Full ride to Indiana, he’s ready for this exact moment! 💪🏽
People talk about 50/50.
But motherhood was never 50/50.
Pregnancy wasn't 50/50.
Birth wasn't 50/50.
Breastfeeding wasn't 50/50.
The mental load wasn't 50/50.
Postpartum recovery wasn't 50/50.
The sleepless nights weren't 50/50.
The physical changes weren't 50/50.
By the time the bill arrived,
the woman already paid.
@FelisterGatwiri@Bowserbrowser4@Bimbochan I am an American. Seems as though you are not, so your opinion is really null in void anyway. I am the “investor” AKA, a tax paying citizen that is footing the bill for them to come into our country and take spots/opportunities from AMERICAN kids. Entitled, what a surprise.
@Bowserbrowser4@Bimbochan I do. Trained in America, by Americans, but F all the American kids?! They are taking opportunities from our kids and we pay for them to be here. I whole heartedly care as a mother to a track athlete entering his freshman year.
@bemil@travismillerx13 Work for it & represent your own territory. He is a Cayman sprinter. There is enough talent in US high schools and junior colleges, these kids will never get the opportunities they deserve because coaches and Universities are solely concerned with $.
@DentistryHeart@travismillerx13 I’m in complete agreement. My son will be running for Indiana next year, going from the best in the state to having to compete with dudes that just arrived in this country of very questionable age…I’ve watched so many young athletes light just diminish knowing this barrier exist
Historic Nationals for Trelee‼️
Trelee Banks breaks a 42 year old record to finish third in the 200-meter National Final! He earns the best finish in the event since 1984.
Vacation culture has gotten a little out of control to me.
I live in southeast Tennessee, in the woods with my family and my dogs, and most of the time I do not have this huge itch to leave. We travel every now and then, but there is something really nice about actually enjoying the life you already have.
People act like you’re supposed to always be planning the next trip, the next flight, the next escape.
Then half the time you come home tired, behind, and wondering why you spent all that money to need a vacation from the vacation.
America is huge. Especially where I live, I can drive a few hours and see mountains, rivers, small towns, lakes, back roads, and some of the prettiest places in the country.
But honestly, some of my favorite days are just being home with my dogs, my family, the woods, and nowhere we have to be.
That feels like rest to me.
This is a cheat code for our marriage & family life!!
We ALWAYS have fun things planned for:
•Just my wife & I.
-Weekly date nights.
-Quarterly 24 hour getaways.
-Yearly honeymoon vacations.
So many times it'll be a tough day with the kids & I'll smack my wife's booty, smile & say ONLY 3 days till date night!!
We do similar for our kids:
-1 on 1 dates with them & mom & dad.
-Fun weekend getaways to explore.
My goal is to create a life I'm always pumped to wake up for & having fun things planned is a key to that!!
