Fun fact: both IPFS pins for Off-Chain Art are already dead, while the centralized links are still up.
Thatโs exactly what Off-Chain Art was about. I made it in 2025 as an experiment: one artwork stored at several links and resolved in the browser. Both the artist and the collector could add more links, so no single link could take the work down. The experiment worked, and it became MURI Protocol.
I just shipped a new MURI Protocol website, with a much better interface and new features:
โข Upload to Arweave through @ar_io_network Turbo, paid with x402
โข Upload to IPFS through @pinatacloud, paid with x402
โข No USDC on Base? Swap or bridge to it from any chain in a few clicks with @RelayProtocol
โข Automatic fallbacks everywhere: it uses the first working Arweave or IPFS gateway and the first working RPC, so it keeps working when a service goes down
โข Automatic token discovery: just enter a collection address
Itโs all free and open source, and MURI takes no fees.
Thanks to @archivist for collecting Off-Chain Art, which made it possible to build MURI as a free public good.
your dive bar is safe on arweave. that's why it opens through our gateway.
the one 6529's viewer uses is a separate gateway that we don't run, so we can't fix what it shows. maybe its delayed?
any @ar_io_network gateway can serve it. worth asking 6529 to add one as a fallback ๐
this explorer is an early example, not the only way in.
the index is open. any app can read and check the signed files itself. build your own dashboard, search or bot on top of it.
its code is open source from @ar_io_network, with a guide to indexing your own app:

Conclusion: I read the market wrong. The incumbent model seems to persist because it is embedded in how careers are evaluated, not because authors like its terms. Changing it means changing what institutions reward. What stays Every paper published with us remains permanently stored on @ardriveapp (https://t.co/utm2CgVPSt). Authors keep permanent, unbreakable links they can cite, at no cost, indefinitely.
All your drives, one list.
Log in and you land on every drive you own. sync the ones you want, not all of them, and each one shows its file count, size and last sync.
Search lives there too, across every drive you've synced.
