last week, you were told that you should support a regime change war in Iran in part to support women's rights
this week, one of Israel's "preventative" air strikes in Iran hit a girls' elementary school killing 40 little girls and counting
🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are arresting unaccompanied minors, trafficking them across state borders, and then “losing”them.
Sixteen-year-old Sebastian, an asylum-seeker from Ecuador, was driving in Minneapolis when immigration agents pulled him over in early January. He managed to call his father before they confiscated his phone.
Then he disappeared.
Instead of processing him locally, federal agents moved him from holding area to holding area, kept him overnight in a HOTEL under guard, and then flew him to Michigan.
He was placed in a federally contracted Christian youth shelter, and given 5 vaccines.
All while his family had no idea where he was.
For nearly a week, the government could not… or would not… tell his father where his 16-year-old son had been taken. When his attorney filed an emergency petition, an ICE lawyer responded that it “does not appear that this Petitioner is in ICE custody.”
He had been arrested by ICE… He had been transported by ICE.
But suddenly, according to ICE, he wasn’t in ICE custody.
After agents picked him up, they labeled him an “unaccompanied minor” and issued him a new alien number, even though he already had one as an asylum-seeker.
That second number made him nearly impossible to track once he was transferred into the federal shelter system.
When his lawyer finally located him in Michigan, he had been confined for over a week, he was not allowed to disclose his location to his father, his movement was restricted, and his communication was monitored.
This is what they are calling “ensuring safety.”
The shelter he was sent to… Bridgeway, operated by Bethany Christian Services…has a documented history of violations.
In 2023, a counselor there was charged with sexually abusing immigrant youth. State inspections later found compliance failures, including background check issues and evidence of staff hazing children.
This facility receives millions in federal funding.
Sebastian’s family was lucky. They were able to hire a lawyer. They were able to track him through paperwork the government claimed did not exist. They were able to physically show up and get him out.
How many families don’t have that kind of help?
How many parents are calling numbers that lead nowhere?
How many children are sitting in facilities under new identification numbers, waiting for someone to figure out where they’ve been sent?
If it takes a federal court order, and private investigators, to locate a 16-year-old the government admits it picked up…
That’s a system where the government is knowingly trafficking children, unless their family has the resources to pull them back.
gen z’s panopticon wreaking havoc in fandom spaces by turning fans into only consumers instead of creators bc they’re afraid of having a misstep and being made fun of or publicly called out which is in turn making them miserable and angry all the time
We obtained the Dilley detention center’s 911 call logs.
Among them are pleas for help for toddlers having trouble breathing, a pregnant woman who passed out and an elementary-school-aged girl having seizures.

When the Supreme Court allowed immigration agents to consider race during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned because agents will “promptly let the individual go.”
For these Americans, that wasn’t true.

🚨 Rep. Stansbury doesn’t mince words:
“The United States government is engaged in an active cover-up of the largest sex-trafficking and influence-peddling scandal in our history — and Donald Trump is right at the center of it.”
That’s a sitting member of Congress saying it out loud.
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained. We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵
Thermobaric bombs dropped on Gaza which create temperatures up to 3,000 Celsius and are supposed to be banned under international law were used to vaporise nearly 3,000 Palestinians. Vaporise. We're dealing with world-historical evil
Remember the couple shot by CBP in Portland after they shot Renee Good in Mpls? Well they were not gang members after all and it turns out CPB just shot them because they could. Now we know what CPB does to people on the border all the time. https://t.co/1DqQxsEW1C
MAJOR VICTORY: "The jury understood that it is not those who destroy Israeli weapons which are guilty, rather the guilty party is the one that deploys such weapons to commit genocide in Gaza.” @AsaWinstanley https://t.co/9RQAzdbdcR
DHS agents in MN swerved in front of an unarmed woman who was recording them, once again WALK IN FRONT OF A CAR with guns drawn. The only thing they've learned from Renee Good is how to get away with killing people. A local cop intervened to stop the illegal arrest!
Police officers are convicted of a crime in fewer than 5% of all cases where they kill UNARMED people. In cases where the person is alleged to be armed, 0.1% of officers are convicted. It’s not just Border Patrol/ICE. The system grants every police officer with almost total legal immunity, allowing them to murder with zero consequences. https://t.co/seNyH7Bi6V
they dragged her away in chains and shipped her to Texas and only then checked, determined she was in fact here legally, and released her in Texas to figure out how to get back to Minnesota herself. and people wonder why her neighbors would protest!!!
