@MitoRequiem Man. I remembered liking DoS, but when I replayed it one Dominus... There's just some odd balancing choices made. Like, there's that point halfway through the game when they're still throwing base skeletons at you.

@mdtironmonger For Solm "our one thing is we're a desert", I don't really believe that there are people living there and making their lives. I don't know. Even for Firene, they're so focused in on flowers and tea that I wonder where they get necessities. They're all too specific to ignore.

@mdtironmonger They all have their one thing and it's hard to understand how a nation could work that way. And, like, I don't need all the specifics of a fictional nation's governance. But for, say, Altea, I can accept that farming and trade and general daily life goes on and isn't addressed.

@juunibug I think part of what's also interesting is how Seifer is Rinoa's foil as much as he's Squall's, insofar as Ultimecia represents The Extreme of who Squall could be. It's easy to assume that it's just a knight to knight, sorceress to sorceress parallel, but there's a full square.
