For any Bay Area peeps who see this, I would avoid the pharmacy at the El Camino (So. San Francisco) location. Bad enough to wait in line so long, but the lack of empathy from employees really takes the cake.

@KatrinaKibben I rarely use cash in my daily life, but keep a $5 in my purse just in case (also hide a stash of coins in my car). When traveling, I have at least $100, including singles to tip drivers, housekeeping, etc. I just got back from Kansas and found cash very useful for paying tolls.

@T__ariel @uhhbre That's fair, and I've said to others, I appreciate that perspective. For context, my firm has about 1% Black employees (excl 1st gen African-Americans) and we don't get MLK Day off so I feel weird getting an extra holiday. That was my point. Not trying to offend. I'm learning.

@johnfarr @Adam_Karpiak Well, of course. A referral always carries weight if they know you and can actually vouch for you. That's part of the recruiting process; different from bypassing the HR/recruiting team as you had previously mentioned.
