@OmniHotels We need to talk. Somebody DM me. Currently at your downtown Austin property. It's been a few years since I stayed at an Omni (SF used to be my go-to). If this is how y'all operate these days, this visit will be the last.
@thedigitalyenta Absolutely, but actually my husband buys them more often (because he likes the brightness in the house, not for me). I grew up in an immigrant, farming family that regarded cut flowers as a waste so I'm ruined.
Hey @Itcosmetics your chat bot & phone line are not working during posted hours. I submitted an inquiry 3 days ago & have no follow up as promised. What am I supposed to do about the items missing from my order?
For any Bay Area peeps who see this, I would avoid the pharmacy at the El Camino (So. San Francisco) location. Bad enough to wait in line so long, but the lack of empathy from employees really takes the cake.
@Walgreens WTH with your flu shot appt system?! My 95 yo grandma had 3:15 appt. It's now 4:47 and we're still waiting. She's old and in pain. This is BS. They just say they are short staffed. THEN DON'T TAKE SO MANY APPTS! I'm fuming 🤬
@AnnLedbetter6 I lost my SIL & niece because she wanted a home birth. So you all can just shut up. If my SIL would have been in the hospital like a rational person, we may have still have them (at least one of them with us). Midwife didn't even have the decency to show up at the funeral. SMH
@KatrinaKibben Hey, I'm in Tualatin (Portland suburb for those who don't know). Folks here still wave, say "hi", invite you to dinner like in the old days.
Perkins is honored to have once again been recognized as one of the Portland metro area's most diverse accounting firms. We are thankful for this recognition and are proud to be one of several firms working towards a more diverse and equitable industry.

@KatrinaKibben I rarely use cash in my daily life, but keep a $5 in my purse just in case (also hide a stash of coins in my car). When traveling, I have at least $100, including singles to tip drivers, housekeeping, etc. I just got back from Kansas and found cash very useful for paying tolls.
@T__ariel@uhhbre And before everyone tries to light my employer on fire, we are learning as an org. We have a DEI committee working with a consultant and are laying out a plan to improve. We're just in the baby steps is all.
@T__ariel@uhhbre That's fair, and I've said to others, I appreciate that perspective. For context, my firm has about 1% Black employees (excl 1st gen African-Americans) and we don't get MLK Day off so I feel weird getting an extra holiday. That was my point. Not trying to offend. I'm learning.
@johnfarr@Adam_Karpiak Well, of course. A referral always carries weight if they know you and can actually vouch for you. That's part of the recruiting process; different from bypassing the HR/recruiting team as you had previously mentioned.
