Kim Seonhoโs Vietnamese interpreter shared moments when they worked together in Vietnam during the filming of #PortraitsofDelusion ๐ฅน
โOn the last day of the year, while tidying up the house, I also cleaned out the photo album on my phone. I suddenly came across some casual snapshots from the โWhen Life Gives You Tangerinesโ series and ended up thinking about that dimpled oppa. Then it hit me that I still hadnโt written a proper review about him for the girls in the fan club ๐ฅน
That day was the last Saturday morning of November, and also the first time he set foot in Vietnam (so does that mean I was the first Vietnamese person to talk to him in Vietnam? ^^). I still remember that after we greeted each other and introduced ourselves, I said, โAt the end of March, I was still sitting there crying while watching your WLGYT series, and I never imagined that eight months later Iโd get to meet you in person like this.โ After hearing that, oppa thanked me for loving the series. A little later, when his manager got into the car, he introduced me, โJunsu, this is Minh, our interpreterโ ๐
My first impression was that he was very friendly and always listened attentively whenever someone talked about Vietnam and Hanoi. And at those moments, he would smile brightly, showing off his dimples. He even said to me, โWow, itโs rare in life to eat this wellโthis is so delicious, Minh.โ When we went out to eat, he always let the manager and interpreter go first, and whenever there was a plate with just one piece left, heโd insist that the manager and I finish it.
There was a day when we agreed to meet at 11:30, but he only came down at 1 p.m. He apologized profusely, saying it was because heโd stayed up all night watching a series (the final version of โCan This Love Be Translatedโ). And on days when filming went on until midnight or even 5 a.m., as soon as he got out of the car, he would bow and say, โYouโve worked so hard,โ before heading up to his room. Overall, it was clear how polite and considerate he was toward the staff.
He was also surprisingly enthusiastic about the plans I suggested. For example, when I said that in autumn people often go near the Cathedral to eat cแปm and have coffee, he immediately agreed and went. Or if it was the first day of the month and I suggested having vegetarian food and visiting a pagoda, he nodded yes right away ๐. Once, after having egg coffee, I pointed out that across the street there was sugarcane juice with durian, and he was like, โSure, letโs go.โ But when we got there and they said the durian was sold out, his face instantly looked so disappointedโฆ
Another time, after eating and strolling around Hoร n Kiแบฟm Lake, he said, โLetโs just call a car for me to go back to the hotel. The weather is nice today, but everyone is working so hard rehearsing (*for The Play โSecret Passageโ), I canโt just come to Vietnam and enjoy myself alone like this.โ On a different day, he wanted to go to a railway cafรฉ. I gave him two options: one on Trแบงn Phรบโฤiแปn Biรชn Phแปง where the train passes extremely close but itโs dangerous, and the other to watch from afar at Long Biรชn Station. He chose to sit on the fourth floor and watch the train from a distance. When we got there, he went out onto the balcony and practiced his lines (*for The Play โSecret Passageโ) while waiting for the train. He truly loves his work. As for me, I didnโt even buy a ticket but still got to โsneak a peekโ at part of it ^^
All in all, after spending some time accompanying him, I felt that he was really, really friendly and warm (once the three of us even shared one cup of ice cream at Thuแปท Tแบก because the vendor mixed up the order ><), incredibly passionate about his profession (always checking his film, singing, and so on while in the car), and very responsible about his work (even while having coffee at Long Biรชn, he kept practicing diligently). So I wish him continued success always ๐โ

YJ : "Our hair and makeup team are so close and joke around a lot, and Seonho sunbaenim who was overhearing our conversation, asked, 'What's so funny?' That became the starting point I taught him one meme, then another.. I taught him really diligently, and since our sense of humor matched so well, he learned it well. Later, he sang a song to me and said, 'Don't you know this song? You better work hard!' I thought to myself, 'I've raised an amazing person.' Haha." ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
#KimSeonHo, the one I know~a talented actor and a genuinely kind, humble human being! No matter how many times they try to shut him out, he stands firm and responds with sincerity~never blaming anyone, owning his mistakes, and moving forward with a steady heart, focused on the acting he loves!
I stan him not because heโs perfect, but because heโs human like us! Someone who makes mistakes, takes responsibility, and never push the blame onto others to protect his actor images! Seonhoya, you deserve every bit of love and support for being exactly who you are! ๐ซถ๐ซ๐ @KIMSEONHO_offcl โ๏ธ
