The Memphis-Shelby County records custodian that has the bodycam footage finally agreed to release Louis Tukes’ footage at the end of April if $418 for the “labor” of compiling the footage was paid. A local Memphis paper agreed to pay the $418. They still have not released it.

I have still not received a single follow up on my complaint to IAB, even after going in person to ask why no one ever followed up on my complaint. I was told by IAB they would also make sure I got a copy of the bodycam footage. They have not. https://t.co/511E5xtuYD

For anybody still keeping up MPD + Shelby County court are still refusing to release the body cam footage in my case. The public defender’s office said it was an “egregious oversight” I didn’t receive a copy of the video during my case and said they would correct it. They didn’t.
