It’s going unnoticed because so much other news is happening, but the war drums are beating again in D.C. The warmongers worry this is their last chance to get the white whale they’ve been chasing for thirty years, an all-out regime change war against Iran.
A new Middle East war would be a catastrophic mistake. Our military stockpiles are depleted from three years of backing Ukraine. Our effort to reshore manufacturing has only just begun and will take years to bear fruit. War would worsen our already immense deficit and national debt. Iran is larger than Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan combined. A war would not be easy and could easily become a calamity.
Thanks to President Trump’s restraint during his first term, America has a golden opportunity to pull away from Middle East quagmires for good. We shouldn’t throw that opportunity away so that sone D.C. has-beens can feel tough by sending young Americans to die yet again.
@Pontifex Call all christians back to the church. Crusade or not. We stand with the one true God. False religions have been left unchecked thanks to the softening tone of the church.
@Andrew35487355@rawsalerts Yea its common and bases run drills all year round upping the FPCON levels. Of course it's just precaution. No need to fear monger
@realTrevorLe@Diversity_2112@Doodles9176 @theparishioner_ The Bible was put together by the church 1000 years before Luther. The faith was proclaimed and defined for all people. The Bible is the chronicles, but the church is the living Bible. It makes it real. Dont honor the fruit without giving honor to the tree that produced it
@BeSaintly@joakial_ Most catholic schools are subsidized and expensive to attend. If there is one thing the church needs to figure out is how to provide education to catholics for cheaper or free. It is easier to send kids to public schools than a catholic one. Guess the church doesn't see that
@sanderson1611 You have great points. But to deny the tree that gave you the fruit is illogical. The Bible supports tradition. The early christians were Catholics. The faith you defend was defended first by them. People who have given their lives for Christ and you blaspheme them for views.
@JhWesten We must be careful not to confuse diplomacy with doctrine. A Pope following protocol isn’t honoring sin. Some outlets present this in inflammatory ways that don’t help the faithful. Like this.
“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”
(Romans 12:18)
@PresbyInn He isn’t describing the Church as changing doctrine like Protestantism does. He’s saying the world is changing, and the Church must continually renew its mission, not its teaching.
@PresbyInn He recognizes the world is moving away from God in general. Doesn't matter what you believe in. Ai, transhumanism and Naturalism are the new age faith. A couple more generations and people wont "need" God because they have everything here in this fallen world. Deceptive.
