Canada, UK, and EU sanctions target the #Myanmar junta’s financial lifelines—companies fueling its terror campaign with funds, arms, equipment, and jet fuel. Yet these actions remain too slow and fragmented, leaving the junta free to exploit gaps. Governments must urgently close loopholes, enforce sanctions rigorously, and stand with the people of Myanmar. https://t.co/3WyPU9p7xZ
Like Hamida, hundreds of Rohingya girls and women are victims of trafficking. Protection for Rohingya across Asia is severely lacking, and the world must take action. No more lives should be lost like Hamida's. Thank you for lifting the veil on the Rohingya crisis @aziz_sarah_
.@FortifyRights calls on @IntlCrimCourt to investigate Arakan Army’s (AA) attacks against Rohingya civilians in Rakhine State on Aug 5-6.

The Rohingya have experienced the sharpest rise in violence since 2017 in recent months and the number of men abducted and conscripted to fight for the Myanmar military has soared to nearly 2000.
Here’s one survivor’s story:

Scores of Rohingya lives have been lost, with countless more at imminent risk if the global community fails to act decisively against these crimes against humanity. The AA's culpability in this heinous assault is beyond dispute.

Dear @TwanMrat,
Targeting innocent civilians is deplorable. The Rohingya, now displaced and living in perpetual dread in Arakan, have committed no transgressions against you. It is imperative to safeguard the Rohingya and cease their forced exodus from their homeland.
Although the world knows we are on the verge of losing everything, it must also remember that we are deeply yearning to reclaim the soil where we were born, Arakan. This is the only place that can never be separated from us, the Rohingya.

A sudden fire has broken out around 11pm in the world's largest Rohingya refugee camp. The blaze is in Block-C, Camp-13, near (Hattolgas Tala Bazar) in Thankhali, Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
We need your prayers.

Instead of taking decisive action, they resort to empty rhetoric.What demands serious intervention is being brushed aside with meaningless talk. The NUG's response to the plight of the innocent Rohingya is not less than the atrocities committed by the AA and the military coup.
❓
The #ArakanArmy has surrounded #Buthidaung downtown , after issuing an order for #Rohingya to leave the town by 10am tomorrow. Tens of thousands of Rohingya sought refuge there in recent days and weeks after fleeing fighting in their villages. Now I'm receiving credible reports that Arakan Army soldiers are setting Rohingya homes on fire in Buthidaung. It is the middle of the night there and people are being driven out of their homes. We are working hard to verify further information.
The Arakan Army effectively has control over Buthidaung township already. Most #MyanmarMilitary are reported to have already retreated to #Maungdaw in the past few days. There is no justification for the Arakan Army to attack Buthidaung town. It is clear now that the Arakan Army is using the same tactics as the regime to forcibly displace Rohingya from Buthidaung.
I wanna remind you that the Rohingya, the indigenous people of Arakan, are an integral part of its land. The land you are trying to claim exclusively is their home too. Please stop the targeting of the Rohingya and let the sands of Arakan be part of a long-lasting freedom.
@TwanMrat,
For months, countless Rohingya have been killed and many more displaced. For every crime against the Rohingya, you are responsible. The day will come when you must answer for your actions against these innocent people.
