Participating in the #globalclassroom twitter chat inspired me to learn even more about incorporating global ideas into my classroom and gave me some cool ways to do so. I'm excited to learn even more and maybe even share the tools with the seventh grade class I am observing
@HundrEDorg @EdPerspective As a future history teacher it will be crucial to incorporate various global perspectives into every lesson, but I fear it will be easier said than done. What are some examples of ways to adequately incorporate new perspectives? #educ331
@Bigler_Michelle A4: Adding the socially conscious layer to the SAMR model is crucial because it will help students use tools that they have to help others and help them develop and more global perspective on the world that they may not have if they are not taught to consider global issues
@Bigler_Michelle A3: Technology has had a huge impact on the job of teaching. Many of the jobs that we need to prepare students for aren't even imaginable today, so as we teach our students we need to help them develop problem solving skills and help them learn to adapt to changes they may face
@Bigler_Michelle A2: If I were to respond to the Maasai greeting today, I would say something along the lines of some of them are well, but many aren't. Many children around the world and in our own backyards don't have access to clean water, food, or a good education
@Bigler_Michelle A1: My name is Amanda Gaines, I am a history major, and I thought about education a lot this weekend as I was working on developing a lesson plan and when I participated in the education Twitter Chat #EDUC331
@COhallison @suzanzer14 That seems like an awesome idea. Have you found any books that look like they would work well for this yet? #globalclassroom#EDUC311

@ZlatenJTC300 The RSF Seed Fund is accepting project proposals for nonprofit organizations that "offer innovative solutions to challenges in the areas of social finance, food and agriculture, education and the arts, or ecological stewardship." https://t.co/QytbBIby7v
@cailin_kitty I noticed that too. Being able to trust applicants beginning with their resumes and extending throughout the application process is very important for their success within the company.
Knowing the culture of a company is another crucial aspect of applying for a position. When you discover what the company culture play your resume to fit this culture. If the company is a non-profit, highlight non-profit experiences on your resume #DidEveryoneGetThis
@ast_cooper I also noticed this as an overall theme. I also found it interesting how wide the range for research spans, starting with information as simple as the name of the hiring manager and extends as far as finding the companies community involvement and following their social media.
A lot of employers are looking for applicants who will be willing to step out of their comfort zone and will be able to progress individually and as a team within the company #dideveryonegetthis
