I find it very telling that the term "Whoniverse" was used in fandom for *at least* 40 years, but then they try to commercialise it and it fumbles in 2 years

Good Doctor Who stories:
The idea of Byston Well being this nearly timeless land of souls corrupted by the influences of the modern military-industrial complex and desperately wanting to heal itself, is not only incredibly compelling, but it also ties in with the show's themes in an interesting manner.
The saddest thing for me, about the whole collapse of Doctor Who there, is they were finally doing the Susan thing, and now I don't think we'll ever see that storyline revisited.

An under-discussed cause of DW’s decline in popularity is that a good amount of people who watched Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith were kids/teens who started to grow out of Doctor Who by the time Capaldi and Jodie came around. Nothing could’ve prevented that.
