Cried big fat tears when I finished the book. I wouldn’t change Amelia for the world, but I would change the world for Amelia if I could. I wish she didn’t have to face these kind of difficulties and I would take it all away if I could.
I read #outofmymind by @sharonmdraper tonight. I hope Amelia grows up to be a fighter like Melody but I will do all in my gift to change our part of the world so she doesn’t experience some of the same prejudice. #CerebralPalsy
One time, I was at a Q&A with Nora Roberts, and someone asked her how to balance writing and kids, and she said that the key to juggling is to know that some of the balls you have in the air are made of plastic & some are made of glass.
I wrote a blog post for @scope with support from @chloeltear about the extra costs of raising a disabled child. You can find it here: https://t.co/eNdQJmCN5e #parenting#CerebralPalsy

I’ve written a new blog post! I struggled a bit with mental health over the summer and the song ‘the next right thing’ from #Frozen2 really resonated. I’ve adapted the lyrics slightly and what led to it in the blog! #depression#depressionfeelslike#parenting
@jellythemosher This time of year has not been kind to you in the past! There’s a huge amount of hype but ultimately just another day which is nearly over. The sun will come up tomorrow and it will be over and hopefully the increase in daylight will help you to move forwards.
Merry Christmas to all preemie parents, NICU babies and NICU Graduates and especially the NHS staff who keep babies safe and parents supported through the festive season.THANK YOU for all you do and thank you to all @QAHospitalNews especially. #MerryChristmas2019#ThankYouNHS 5/5
It was a family tradition that my parents read me the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve, and I knew that I would do the same for my children. I never expected to be reading it to my daughter in the NICU on her first Christmas- she wasn’t due until February after all! 1/5
For parents who have had babies in over Christmas and still find it hard to deal with those memories, or have children with ongoing special needs, I am sending gentle hugs. Our Christmasses still may not look like we thought they would, but they are still special 4/5
