Since I’ve been once again attacked by people woefully ignorant of the entire situation, let me put all the evidence, facts and breakdown regarding EVERYTHING right here.
I have no more patience or empathy for hopium, speculations, rumours or toxic positivity. These are the facts. At the end of this breakdown, you have a simple choice - accept this laying down and move on OR actually take action and push one last time.
𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐎 𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 / 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐔𝐌
Let us first address the disingenuous, STUPID, fanatical, hopium obsessed boycotters who continue to say things such as;
1. No one knows what PPG is doing
2. They’re working on something in the background
3. They are planning to relaunch him and are getting their ducks in a row
𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒉 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒉 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒉 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒉.
[ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟭 ] - It is clearly stated by Papergames in their June 30th statement EXACTLY AND I QUOTE; “We have decided to cancel both the launch and FURTHER DEVELOPMENT of the new love interest”.
We must take this statement at face value because IT IS THE ONLY ONE THEY HAVE ISSUED ABOUT VALKO.
So yes, considering their actions and own words, Valko is receiving no further development and will not be launched. Cards for gacha games such as LADS are developed AT LEAST 6+ months before they are run - they are created for quarters and are scheduled by an approved agenda.
Since they stopped development of Valko by their own admission on June 30th, the end of this year’s development planning for NEXT YEAR started around July/August. Thus Valko is NOT being developed for future multis, solos or myths as the schedule has now been adjusted to not include him starting 2027.
Boycotters who ignore this blatant statement are the ones who are speculating, clinging to ridiculous hope and being infactual by ignoring this clear fact and are the ones who are speculating.
Papergames has done NOTHING to give you the impression, inclination or any shred of evidence that they are working on Valko or going to reinstate him - in fact, their actions and silence have made it very clear they are not.
It is utterly nonsensical to ignore the black and white text of their statement to formulate conspiracies and hopium based cope while ignoring the facts.

If they were going to relaunch him, they would have to provide a stable environment for said relaunch by addressing counter boycotters and holding the company (if the rumours were true of water armies - I will be addressing this in the next few points) accountable so as to prevent people from escalating once again thus making examples of previous antis/CDGS legally to intimidate possible repetition of their actions.

[ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟮 , 𝟯, 𝟰 ]
Many people keep spouting about their new legal department and the rumoured legal cases filed by PPG. Let’s provide some sense and facts here.
Shanghai Diezhi Technology has 30 cases. Almost 87% are trademark infringement, and in almost 87% Papergames is the one suing.
Who are they suing? A carpet shop. A jewelry store. A toy shop. An umbrella factory. Clothing sellers. Small online stores. An anime design studio.
They're going after people selling fake merch.
That's it.
One thing that confuses people: the company page shows "著作权 2503." Those are not 2503 lawsuits. They are 2503 works registered under the company's name. It's a copyright registry, not a list of cases.
Shanghai Diezhi Huyu has 25 cases, and it works the other way around. In 68% of them, Papergames is the one being sued.
Almost half are consumer disputes over a digital service. Purchases, refunds, accounts. About ten of those were filed by individual people.
𝑺𝒐 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔.
There are at least five copyright cases, spread between Shanghai Diezhi Huyu and Wuhu Diezhi. All five are against companies. None against a person. Two of them are against the same company, sued separately by both Diezhi entities.
Trademark and copyright cover different things, and I'll come back to why that matters.

[ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟲 ] Furthermore, the rumoured lawsuit against NetEase. The cause of action is copyright/information-network infringement, not a publicly labeled Valko defamation case. Contemporary discussion consequently associated this suit with allegedly copied/unauthorized Love and Deepspace material—particularly a NetEase LifeAfter promotional character resembling Sylus—although the actual copyrighted work at issue is not stated in the public docket, so the Sylus explanation remains an inference rather than a fact established by the docket.

China has some of the most heavily monitored media platforms and Internet in the world. If Papergames had evidence of the supposed “water army attacks” perpetuated by boycotters, they would be actively suing the company responsible (such as Tencent as boycotters have speculated) if it was true for claims of loss of earnings, defamation and cyber attacks.
But they haven’t.
Also if Papergames was indeed attacked by water armies, they would have involved the 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚 (𝐂𝐀𝐂) who are able to pinpoint the source of the bots (very easily mind you in such a heavily monitored cyberspace) and would have issued an official announcement regarding the matter as that would actually validate their image as a victim to the public.
But they haven’t.
In 3+ months there has not been a single lawsuit, statement by Papergames, a state media news article nor even leaks of screenshots on the CN internet of any water army involvement.
Furthermore, per the new laws implemented in October 2026 by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), China has now added in its legal framework to target "internet water armies" (“wangluo shuijun” aka paid networks of commenters, bots and fake accounts) through a combination of expanded platform crackdowns, new cyberbullying drafts, and an overhaul of digital regulations.
Even before this, China had begun a “Targeted Public Security Operations” endeavour during 2025–2026 which provided local police forces (such as in Shanghai where PPG is) the resources and ability to target water armies caught creating fake trending topics, defamation of businesses, slander which has resulted in multiple arrests and the deletion of thousands of fake accounts.
Thus with this new law, previous tightening of cyber security and water army management by local police forces, and the personal involvement of CAC of identifying, penalizing and ridding of these groups, why is there still a claim that the tags and the slander against Papergames has been orchestrated by water armies when there is no evidence to support it?
Instead we must objectively state the fact.
𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒐𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒂 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓.
This is once again pure rumours and speculation from the boycott for the last few months that has no grounds or proof.
The only concrete proof we have is that after 3 months, the Shanghai Press & Publication Board have explicitly stated the cancellation of Valko was a PPG decision and they found PPG had broken no laws or regulations.
Were there bots involved?
Yes. However, people seem to be unaware that in China, you can purchase bots PERSONALLY. People also can create and code THEIR OWN BOTS.
• Crackdowns: Chinese authorities, including the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Ministry of Public Security, regularly run enforcement campaigns to dismantle commercial water army networks.
• Platform Defenses: Major platforms like Douban, Weibo, and Taobao deploy automated detection algorithms, text-similarity checks, and behavioral analysis to flag and ban paid posting rings.

Misinformation is rampant about the tags used such as;
#PapergamesRuinsCNgaming
#PapergamesRuinsCNExport
#PapergamesSilencesPlayers
#PPGSupportsBullying
There are accusations of its political implications, effectivity, the possible repercussion of EOS, being “toxic” or “radical” and various claims that are entirely based in speculation, misinformation, fear mongering and ignorance.
[𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟴 - 𝟮𝟰] - SUPPORT AND DISCUSSION OF THE TAG BY CN USERS. This misinformation is used by antis is ridiculous. Why would antis want the game to go under when they play it? Furthermore, the claim that it is competitors water armies/bots pushing the tags specifically to ruin Papergames is unfounded.
If such a thing was happening, PPG and the CN Cybersecurity would be able to trace these posts to bots/water armies and charge them with inciting harassment, slander and defamation yet, in THREE MONTHS OF THE TAGS BEING USED, not one single statement, law suit or charge has been implemented by PPG or the Cyberspace Administration of China or the Ministry of Public Security, nor have they charged any individual(s) or corporation for the tag, bot use or defamation.
If Papergames had such evidence (which would be easily found via Cyberspace Administration of China and the Ministry of Public Security who can trace the IPs even with the use of VPNS) of water armies, bots and bad actors from competitors using these tags, promoting them and spamming them, they would simply have to submit their evidence and reach out to Weibo, XHS/Rednote and the CN social media platforms they appear in and have them black listed for harassment, unfounded accusations and slander.
But they don’t.
Why?
Because these are individuals exercising their right to express dissatisfaction with A COMPANY.
Now let us expand into it more.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒.
Do you see any mention of the Chinese government? Do you see any slander, insult or criticism of a government agency or of the CCP?
NO.
These tags specifically target PAPERGAMES by consumers. These tags are to;
draw attention to the GLOBAL MARKET’S treatment by the company, its dissatisfaction with their cancellation of Valko and calls for resolution.
call into review their status as a cultural export that they gain subsidies, grants, expedited procedures through the government branches that grants this title, reviews media companies and moderates their content such as;
- China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association (CADPA)
- State Administration of Radio, Television, Film
- Ministry of Commerce, Shanghai Branch
- Going Global of Chinese Culture/International Dissemination of Chinese Culture Support Fund
- Shanghai Market Regulation
These tags alone are not enough but draw attention and discussion. Tied with emailing these specific agencies that monitor, grant, provide and implement the subsidies, grants to media companies such as PPG, deals with customer relations (they have complaint department), provide tribunals/conflict resolution and warnings to companies and complainants, this is the course of action that is necessary.
For the argument of why this particular wording is potentially more consequential and impactful than #BringBackValko
The wording attacks something Papergames has publicly benefited from: the idea that Chinese games are successful vehicles for international cultural export.
[ 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝟐𝟓 ] On June 16, 2026, shortly before the Valko crisis, Xinhua’s Shanghai channel published a piece specifically presenting Papergames as an example of Chinese games “telling China’s story to the world,” describing Chinese games as an important part of China’s cultural globalization. It was a 15+ minute video regarding PPG, its success across overseas and its global expansion.
This is an issue considering the current treatment, silence and disrespect by this company towards the global fanbase does not support this video or its claims.
If I were to boil down the 3 most prominent and effective tags that should be used together, and which messages they convey, it would be this;
#BringBackValko
→ Players dislikes a product decision.
#NoValkoNoMoney
→ This product decision will cost Papergames revenue.
#PapergamesRuinsCNgaming
→ This company’s conduct is damaging the reputation of Chinese games internationally.
The effectivity of that third tag is that it potentially reaches audiences outside the Love and Deepspace consumer dispute. It puts Papergames’ conduct in the public eye and clearly oppose the positive “Chinese cultural export” narrative attached to the company.
𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃, 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒
Here are the receipts regarding the disputed tags first emergence, formation on the Internet and how it was originally composed in China, how it was non controversial as it has trended multiple times in 2 months and fully supports the stance regarding that both sides of the boycott are necessary - reputation and revenue.
First of all, the creation of the tag originated by a Chinese video game blogger in its first form ;
[ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟮𝟳 + 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟮𝟴 ]
July 9 - first verified origin I could find.
A Weibo post by 我后悔买了黑糖沙琪玛, posted from an IP address based in Canada, argued that the Valko controversy was damaging overseas trust not merely in Papergames but in Chinese games generally. The author wrote that overseas players’ trust in Chinese games had “completely collapsed” and discussed China’s gaming industry as a cultural export.
The post eventually recorded 159,345 likes, 11,146 comments and 7,123 reposts. Its hashtag was Chinese—#恋与深空文化输出—not #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming.

• Aug. 3
A Tumblr boycott report dated 8/3/2026 lists #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming among the current protest hashtags. The same report timestamps its social-media metrics at 11:45 AM CDT, placing the tag in active circulation that day.
• Aug. 3 again.
Historical X-trend archives independently show #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming trending that day—in the archived Malaysia list at #17 and the UK list at #42. #NoValkoNoMoney was simultaneously much higher.
• Aug. 3, 23:16 China time [ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟯𝟭 ]
Sina’s indexed copy of Weibo activity preserves a post from 魔界小仙菇 using Chinese tags about the Ao Yin/Valko cancellation and alleged false advertising.
• Aug. 3–4 [ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟯𝟮 + 𝟯𝟯]
A Reddit thread promoting the CN campaign told X users specifically to use #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming and #NoMoneyNoValko, explaining that Chinese supporters were emphasizing global loss of trust in Chinese games. It linked an X post by @oibaby1103 as the screenshot source.
• Aug. 4 [ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟯𝟰 ]
An archived X reply from @SylusSonValko contains a standardized slogan block: “False Advertising,” “Tolerates Cyberbullying,” “Damages China’s Gaming Reputation Overseas,” “Hinders Chinese Cultural Export,” followed by #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming.
• July 9 [ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟯𝟱 - 𝟯𝟳 ]
A Weibo post is important because the language maps very closely onto what became the August hashtag campaign. It argued, in substance, that because games were one of China’s visible cultural exports to young overseas audiences, the Valko controversy was making foreign players distrust Chinese games generally.
• [ 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝟯𝟴 ] Furthermore, another user on Reddit made the connection explicitly:
The July 9 viral Weibo post is an explanation for why Chinese Valko supporters subsequently encouraged global players to speak publicly about their loss of trust and why some began promoting #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming.
Thus it began circulating on Weibo by July 9 - that’s the only concrete evidence of its origins I could find.
The English version of #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming tag became active globally and trending by August 3.
𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒌; 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒈 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 “𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒔”?

The beginning of that accusation I could trace began with @_hikariko57
She claimed an “anti group” tried to persuade global players to escalate against Papergames and that this “led to the creation” of #PapergamesRuinsCNgaming.
@SarinaLuu it is,but shitflop only react when their reputation is hurting,peaceful approach didn't work now it's time to push harder exactly how cn girls asked,we are sitting here demanding billion company to make decision for 4 months already
