Administration has just confirmed that the costs to wind down the Green Line will exceed $2.1B
That's $2.1B (one third of project costs) to get ZERO kilometres of track vs $6.2B to get nearly 10km of track.

So the new Premier and leader of the government that removed Alberta’s cap on electricity rates wrote a letter to the PM citing high electricity rates as an onerous expense that he needs to do something about? Do I have that right.
BREAKING: Toronto Police have released data showing Black people were 230% more likely to have a police officer point a firearm at them when they appeared to be unarmed than white people.
I don't want to hear anyone say that systemic racism doesn't exist in policing EVER AGAIN.
Fifth: Vaccination in conjunction with other measures could have stopped the pandemic, but over reliance on vaccination alone undermined its utility because of new variants that would not have arisen if we effectively used other measures to reduce transmission.18/
There are 5 pillars of prevention: Masking, Ventilation, Testing, Social distancing, and Vaccination.
Each of these has multiple levels. From poor to outstanding.13/
Why do I say we can do something when there is so much defeatism as well as wishful thinking that ending the pandemic will just happen by itself?
Let’s start by addressing the mistaken belief that we can’t do anything.12/

I spent most of my childhood in and out of refugee camps and I'm thinking about how different my life would've been if all these nations had opened their borders to my family when we were fleeing political conflict in the early 90s. Instead we lingered in refugee camps for 7 yrs.
Stories of racism like this one, of Lou Darby, are not a part of the everyday Calgary narrative
But they need to be so we can stop talking about the rise in Racism here, but rather, how it's always been a part of Calgary's fabric.
That's how we fight it, by first knowing it.
You can't just declare the pandemic over, having done nothing whatsoever to build increased healthcare capacity or increased environmental mitigation (because you prefer to deny it's airborne, because you prefer not to spend necessary $, or simply because you can't be bothered).
If you stand for, beside, or in defense of people waving Swastikas, Confederate Flags, secessionist flags and spewing far right extremist views - you're either being used or you believe it
There is no nuance in hate.
Reminder that thanks to @jkenney you pay more for your income tax, car insurance, tuition, electricity, education property taxes, vehicle reg, camping, x-country skiing, phone bills, parks, and more. #ableg
