@quarriart get a lot out of mentally tracing and sketching "over" objects around me. Actual sketch practice is really good too, but sometimes just really observing and studying is good in little moments when it's not convenient to have a sketch book.

@quarriart So creating something as a whole, because you want to create the idea, rather than identifying a specific focus. But that's just me. Another thing I've found very helpful is... almost visual practice.
