@babedame@WilsonSevereWX As the gang over at @NashSevereWx say - low probability of a high impact event. These are no joke when they do happen so it’s best to be prepared.
Freezing rain vs sleet. @marielruizwx offered a sweet way to remember the hazards of ice. Freezing rain leaves a GLAZE of ice, eliminating friction & leading to BIG issues. Sleet is made of ice shards - think SPRINKLES - it stacks where it falls & can have a smaller impact. #WFAA
Infrastructure projects along two of the city’s busiest corridors are expected to begin soon and the temporary travel nuisances should yield longtime benefits for the city. https://t.co/a6H4lgvMAe
@crayongela@NashSevereWx Reading the blog, it doesn’t look like it will freeze until Thurs night so you’ll prob be fine. @lucky13wxman is the weatherman out in Knoxville - go look at his forecast for Thurs too. He’ll know what’s going on out there. (At least if you’re driving that way.)
@braylaw@wpdeabc15 Dear friends of mine have a house just down off Ocean Green. That’s so crazy that it came through right there. Praying everyone is okay & the damage is minimal!
@lesleyeats @frankiewx@NashSevereWx Tip I learned too - don’t put daffodils in the same water as other flowers right after cutting. They have a sap that is toxic to other cut flowers. After a couple hours in water, you can put them with other flowers. Just don’t trim them again.
