Fourth-gen Washingtonian and Portland ex-pat living, working full-time, and raising small animals (children) in the wilds of Idaho. Or maybe just in Boise.

@NWSBoise @NWSBoise - what’s the outlook for driving that direction tomorrow? Is it going to improve overnight?

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@AndBookish @annehelen SAME. I used to actually pay to subscribe to the print version. But husband was a Time devotee, so we went that way (uh, you know, 15+ years ago...). It's really unfortunate. It used to be the best mix of news and culture. :(

We are living through a Golden Era of "I told you so"

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@thenextbarstool When you saw the R's and D's next to names on the ballot, you knew it was likely headed that way. I think we should take that "cheat sheet" off the ballots - I'm not sure it makes people more likely to actually research candidates, but it wouldn't hurt. :(

My heart goes out to every Blue voter in a sea of red, who has fought to create a world you are proud to live in, but keep on getting shot down by not only your red neighbors who view you as lesser than, but fellow blues who deem you the butt of their jokes.

You deserve better

@annehelen Putting this in my pocket for the inevitable Thanksgiving argument with my MIL (a retired elementary and junior high teacher) about how we failed kids in the pandemic solely by keeping them home. We failed everyone - in a multitude of ways.

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@Walton_Emily 💯

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@annehelen Oh! One of my friends who lives in Ashland sent me a link to these folks. Apparently, they recently opened up a GINORMOUS retail store right in downtown Ashland, too.

I CAN'T BELIEVE that Lizzo pulled James Madison's crystal flute out of a stone and is now the president!!! That is a marginally less democratic process than the electoral college!!!!

Squeezing in all the Saturday errands before my booster hits… 😵‍💫🫣

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@JanesAmerica Ah, dang. Every other one has hit me hard. Time to figure out what streaming shows I need to catch up on…

[Pine Martini 🌲🐕 @arielamanda]

@DonLDay They said it’d been busy at our neighborhood elementary - 8+ in line waiting!

This meeting could have been a sword fight.

SO WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT TECHNICALLY WE ARE ALL FISH BECAUSE YOU'D HAVE TO INCLUDE ALL TETRAPODS, AND ALL BIRDS ARE ACTUALLY REPTILES, BUT FOR EASE WE SEPARATE THEM ALL OUT WHEN TALKING ABOUT THEM EVEN THOUGH THAT'S PHYLOGENETICALLY WRONG
