This is huge for Aave and DeFi. Central banks are notoriously skeptical of onchain systems, yet the Bank of Canada conducted a full systemic research review on Aave’s resilience. The conclusion was that DeFi works remarkably well.
"Our analysis suggests that lending without traditional intermediaries is viable in a technical and operational sense. Aave V3 successfully matches borrowers and lenders, enforces collateral constraints through smart contracts, and maintains solvency without relying on trust, identity, or centralized enforcement. The system operates continuously, transparently, and with minimal overhead, demonstrating the potential of protocol-based credit markets."
Future of Finance.
UI spoofing chapter 4... A front-end attack is apparently ongoing on @Compound_xyz. This happened to Maple Finance last month, and here we go again. Solutions already exist, such as @okcontract, which generates ABI2UI.
Vitalik has mentioned it at least twice, yet these incidents keep happening because teams are sleeping on it.
Anyway, stay safe out there!

@Leechael Hey Lee, I'd like to chat TEEs and dstack with you, saw you contributed to the dstack github, would appreciate a follow-back so I can send you a dm.
Thought it would never happen to me, but it did.
Drained for roughly 300k.
Didn’t approve or sign any tx. To the best of my knowledge I was social engineered hacked.
Was supposed to have a call with someone to discuss a partnership and they sent a kakaotalk link.
Yei Finance has experienced a sophisticated security breach resulting in a loss of around $2.4 million USD. The Yei Team is actively collaborating with top security firms to triage the situation and identify the stolen assets. We would like to reassure our users that this represents less than 1% of Yei Finance's total market size, and the team has already identified the root cause and patched all vulnerabilities to prevent future security risks.
The Yei Finance team can confirm that within the past 12 hours, this is an isolated incident affecting the wBTC pool only.
1. All loss of funds will be compensated.
2. All other pools remain unaffected, and users can resume lending activities safely.
3. To mitigate any further risks, the Yei Team will temporarily freeze the wBTC pools and implement a time-lock to set the wBTC LTV ratio to 0. This action will take effect on December 4th at 14:33 PM.
What’s next?
Pools will fully reopen on December 4th at 14:40 PM (UTC+8). Users will be able to perform normal actions safely. All affected pools will be fully compensated, and we would like to emphasize that users will not be responsible for any losses during this breach.
A detailed post-mortem report will be published within the next 48 hours to provide transparency and insights into the incident.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging time. If any users have any other questions, feel free to open a ticket in our Discord.
- Yei Finance Team
REMINDER ⚠️

DeltaPrime Blue exploited, this is the current status:
At 6:14 AM CET DeltaPrime Blue (Arbitrum) was attacked and drained for $5.98M. This was due to a compromised private key, the source of which is currently under investigation.
DeltaPrime Red (Avalanche) is not vulnerable to this attack, as the implementation here is covered solely by multisigs and cold wallets (as it should be).
The risk is contained, we're working on asset-retrieval and the insurance pool will cover any potential losses where possible / necessary. Additionally, we're looking into other ways to reduce user losses to a minimum.
We will keep you updated here as well as in our Discord as we move forward.
Ethereum is gaining recognition as a go-to yield-generating digital asset within TradFi.
