He overloaded and use complete power of all the crimson moon authorities. Hroptatyr gave Pierro the design for this final attack while stating it.

Dain & traveler were not a problem, but everytime Ronova would counter attack Pierro would be ready to spam another attack.

We are literally using a power similar to hers which she was stripped off, there is clearly a limit to how much she can tank it. That was the whole point of the fight.

@NineBane @penesito2006 If it was a True battle with no restrictions, Ronova could kill the traveler but she didn't because Phanes seemed to be fond of Descenders. Dain & Pierro will die since no restriction means she could lift the curse of immortality from both.

If it weren't for Eye of fatui's continuous spam, also made possible by the curse of immortality. We would have lost the fight.

Not to mention, Authority of death from crimson moon, Curse of Immortality from Phanes which allowed Pierro to spam Authority of death.
