@PiesBolts@yacineMTB Advertising to whom? Those who cannot use them themselves because it's banned? Is it smart to spend billions on infrastructure and training with the uncertainty of govt banning access at any moment and on a whim?
@RightHeterodoxy @BMandolf@DaveShapi It's amazing that this has to be explained in the first place. It's as though they expect everything to immediately change overnight without any ramp-up.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Also, whether a user does a good job using the tools or not to make quality images and media is irrelevant to the overall point. Learning the principle of picture-making is certainly helpful, but it is not a requirement in order to make them.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Not sure what your point about deceiving potential customers means? Skills change with new tech in how you use them to accomplish a task. I've already gone over this several times, but you seem to be clinging to a worldview that just isn't consistent with reality.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Yes, new tech allows you to avoid having to do the less efficient task. I don't see what the point being made here is? Perhaps what bothers you is that you seem to attach value and validation to those skills in themselves, as though they are static. But it's not how things work.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Nor did I go around your point. I pointed out that you no longer need that specific skill because you have an alternative and can learn how to use the new method to do it better. You seem to be going in circles around skills because the point somehow upsets you.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Being an artist is not about some arbitrary amount of effort in itself. This seems to be an even bigger misconception on your part.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Thisย is the common mistake people make with "ordering in a restaurant" example. When you do this, it is called context dropping. You are anthropomorphizing the AI as the same as the human, but it's not and it's wrong.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans But who in the equation does? The human using the tool to accomplish their desired task. In this case, in the concrete depiction of their values. Your premises here are just wrong and the reason why I say your terms are loaded. They are wrapped in misconceptions.
@Ophaque1@IsThisA3DModel@notiansans Values derive from volition and a need to act in a manner to survive in reality, like an organism does. AI does not have such needs. The implication put forth here is that AI was the artist who created, not you.ย But that impossible because AI has no voltion and thus no values.
