VERY EXCITED to finally share this news: I'm joining @PantheraCats as the Conservation Genetics Program Coordinator! I'll be developing and implementing genetic methodologies for wild cat conservation. This is a dream job: great people, focus, reach, and location. LET'S GOOO!!!
Please consider contributing this holiday season. You can read more about the fellowship at my CaringBridge site, https://t.co/MM5iolVZU9, and at the CU website, https://t.co/fJuCtdNY69; or donate directly at https://t.co/rDbXJ0KCWK. 4/4

If you’re into #snowleopards, the outdoors, research, and coffee, you can also find me on IG! I just started a new series called “Conservation Coffee Dates” where I talk about wildlife while making coffee to help me survive writing my dissertation: https://t.co/NOwExZdUEy
For the #TWS2022 folks I saw: my conference roomate tested positive for COVID yesterday. I last saw her on 11/09. I’ve rapidPCR tested negative today and yesterday. But, not feeling great, will keep testing and update accordingly.
Rare and Elusive Species Lab alum @AriTheEcologist gave a great talk on her MS bobcat connectivity research, and current member @biologistimo shared results from her PhD work on snow leopards. #TWS2022
I'm not ungrateful for these changes/forgiveness, just making sure we all understand that for many people 10k doesn't even dent what they had to take out to obtain their degrees that everyone told us we HAD to have to get almost any job.
Start again. 5% is the amount of money people like me have to spend on non-loans/bills/groceries/rent. I'm expected to have at least one advanced degree for my field. I would argue you need two for a lot of jobs in my field & get paid less than McDonald's employee with an MS. 2/3
I won't notice a 10k difference in my loans. It means nothing for someone like me. IDR & payment pause changes are good. You want to stimulate the economy? Let an entire generation plus actually feel like they have disposable income. It doesn't exist for me when loan payments 1/3
I live right across the border to Washington which has great camping spots. Hit me up if you want to go camping. Oh, and no one will ever need to know about our camping trip.
