Party officials would be the upper class, and living lives of luxury.

Party apparatchiks will form the middle class and live lives that are slightly better than those of the average worker.

And finally 95% of people will be subsistence workers, living on what the party believes is the bare minimum for them to perform their tasks.

Any idea that communism is egalitarian is theoretical only, in practice, it’s far from it.

Anyone who is telling you a coal miner in ANY communist society lives just the same way as a party official is lying.
