The moment Teyana Taylor was denied entry onto the court by security after the New York Knicks won the championship. They wouldnβt let her through, even though sheβs a celebrity. π
@TMZ Everytime I see a video where an officer clearly did something wrong... why are there never any other police officers helping the victim or holding the other officer accountable?
Shit really needs to change. The culture of protecting other officers is ridiculous.
ALERT: Police shot a woman's dog after they were called to check on her for celebrating the Knicks winning the championship.
A family was celebrating the New York Knicks' NBA championship victory when someone called the Los Angeles Police Department to report that a woman in her apartment was shouting and sounded distressed.
Officers arrived at the apartment and asked the family to secure their large dog, Jamison, a 2-year-old golden retriever-Saint Bernard-poodle mix.
The woman closed the door, and when she reopened it, Jamison ran out and towards the police, causing an officer to shoot and kill the dog.
The neighbor who called the police told the news off-camera that they feel guilty that the dog was killed, but sincerely believed their neighbor was in trouble and needed help.
βWe were just so happy. We were just so happy. We were just celebrating the Knicks. We were f*cking celebrating the Knicks.β
That neighbor knew what they were doing when they called the cops over a noise complaint because someone was celebrating the Knicks winning. People know what happens when you bring cops into any situation.
If you have empathy & compassion: When your dog dies, the world freezes. It's a gut punch to your system. Your best friend who showed you unconditional love, who was there for you through thick and thin has passed. The cops who killed this woman's family member should face justice.
FTP: LAPD killed her dog. He was wearing his Knicks jersey.
His name was Jameson. A golden doodle. One of the sweetest, most gentle breeds alive.
A neighbor called a noise complaint. That's it.
20+ officers showed up. Then a helicopter. For a noise complaint in an apartment complex.
And they shot Jameson dead. In front of his owner. In front of her child.
No warning. No de-escalation. Nothing.
The media is barely covering this. No headlines. No outrage.
Like it never happened.
If this was your dog... your child watching... how would you feel?
Jameson deserved better. That little boy deserved better. His mama deserved better.
