Remittances are no longer the whole story. The African diaspora’s greatest assets are knowledge, networks, and credibility. Are our organisations structured to mobilise them?
Ahead of my keynote today at the Plateau State Association USA National Forum, I explore why we must move beyond cultural associations to strategic development partnerships.

REFLECTIONS ON NATIONAL DIASPORA DAY 2026 WITH FOCUS ON HEALTH DIPLOMACY
The real test of the Diaspora Health Impact Initiative, DHII begins the day after the closing dinner for DD2026. The applause of National Diaspora Day was well deserved, and we must commend its leadership.
But applause has never healed a healthcare system. Institutions do! This is why, even while celebrating the initiative, it is worth identifying several risks. We do so not as criticism, but as an expression of confidence that DHII deserves to become a permanent national institution rather than another admirable experiment.
The true legacy of DHII will not be measured by the applause it received in July 2026, but by whether in July 2031, five years from now, Nigerians can point to hospitals that became stronger, doctors who became better, and partnerships that endured because this generation chose to institutionalise what another generation merely initiated.
In this OpEd, I highlighted about five pitfalls that must be avoided if Nigeria is truly intent on institutionalising health diplomacy anchored by diaspora health capital…

I attended the official launch of @Kolomoni_ng & the unveiling of their Take Control campaign today.
One of the major highlights was the unveiling of Kolomoni's brand ambassadors, Odun Adekola, Woli Agba , Dele Ọmọ Woli & Baba Alariya

Just paid out all investors, team members, and founders and backers of Chimoney and the company we acquired. In total, 31 people and entities received payouts from Chimoney's exit.
I am proud of the outcome. I am even more proud that everyone that have ever worked with me is in a better place. One example is that I can count 4 of them who got the UK Global Talent visa because that are that exceptional!

@TheCharlesIsidi We deserve a better public and commercial transportation in Nigeria. Thats the standpoint of the govt.
Hopefully, the regulations are consistently applied.
And as Christians, we still have work to do in how we witness in shared and public spaces
I love listening to my uncle’s banking war stories. A particular one I remember was when they were trying to land a very wealthy man who owned fishing trawlers and a retail empire in Lagos. He finally got an appointment to see him one evening as the guy was always very busy....
The emotional bandwidth of Jesus is incredible.
He meets one sister of his dead friend, he assures her that he is God, he meets the second sister and he gets into her pain and weeps with her.
I want a God like that, one that knows when to cry with me and when to affirm me.
