We're excited to welcome Ayomide Ariyo (@ariyoraph), Senior Software Engineer at Selar, to this year's conference. He's spent over five years building scalable web and mobile apps with Laravel, PHP, and Vue.js, working across API development, microservices, and payment integrations.

During his talk, Ariyo will break down three assumptions that quietly break production APIs: webhooks that fire more than once, race conditions, and flows that behave differently once real traffic hits them. He'll walk through how idempotency, retries, and better state handling fixed each one.

Really loved all the sessions so far at the DevFest 2025 holding at Akure. But the session that stood out for me is the Second speaker, Miss Bella, speaking on successfully building a community, my class rep @ariyoraph speaking on “understanding traffic spikes” and @KaganTech session. It’s good to attend programs like this to help you shape your mind, I hope to be more diligent and consistent from here.
