Everyone tells Indians to walk 10,000 steps, but no one tells us “Where should we walk?”
Try stepping out to walk in any Indian city.
Chances are:
-There are no footpaths.
-If there is one, it’s broken.
-If it’s not broken, it’s occupied by hawkers, scooters, garbage, or parked cars.
I’ve lived in countries where walking is therapy. In India, walking is a punishment. You dodge potholes, pray you don’t get hit by a car, and come home covered in dust.
We talk about building smart cities, but what’s the point of smart cities if we can’t even walk safely in them?
Our cities were never designed for people. They were designed for traffic. Somewhere along the way, we forgot that walking is not a privilege, it is a basic human right.
Let’s stop designing cities for cars.
Let’s start designing them for people.
Let’s Make India Walkable Again!
Congratulations India, @isro has successfully launched the heaviest GEO communication satellite from Indian soil. The Indian space sector is soaring high to provide valuable services to the user community in and around the Indian region.

Dear Indians, your life has ZERO value.
FSSAI banned ORSL because it contains high sugar and does not comply with the WHO formula, as it is dangerous for health.
Then the ORSL company said, “Please, sir, we have ₹180 crore worth of stock. Please let us sell it.”
The court said, Okay, sell it.
So, this ₹180 crore stock of a big billionaire company has more value than the health of 140 crore Indians.
Bad news. Fake ORS ban has been paused by the Delhi high court.
ORSL has been allowed to sell 180 crore of their stock first. ORSL sells at 45 rupees per pack, so basically they want to sell 4 crore (180/45) fake ORS packs.
These fake products have up to 10 times more sugar than real ORS, and can be dangerous for kids suffering from diarrhea.
I request all Indians to unite and support @dr_sivaranjani
in the fight against fake ORS.
Please share this across all platforms so that we can put public pressure to not have any fake ORS sold.

Festivals are celebrations.
And celebrations always involve some mildly irresponsible behaviour - But that's exactly what makes them fun. They are a release from daily humdrum, routine and discipline.
It totally works because festivals come by only occasionally.
So, to come to the point... crackers are part of today's celebration, and no one should succumb to the guilt-tripping.
Happy Diwali. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
By now, I hope it is clear to all of India's educated elite that we must build up our capabilities here. The mindset "we can buy whatever we lack" or its much deeper axiomatic version "money can buy everything" won't work in this new era. For one, money cannot buy national security nor sovereignty nor resilience. We cannot stand up to bullies if we don't build ourselves up.
More broadly, educated Indians must reexamine our fundamental belief systems. As one example, why are we paying so much for a degree from abroad (and here I am not referring to the low cost medical education in Vietnam - we must examine why medical education is so costly in India!)
Second, should we still value English as the _medium of instruction_? We should learn English _as a language_ but does it make sense to make it the medium for teaching mathematics or history or technology or medicine? English as the medium of instruction is a status symbol from our colonial past. Should that be our future as well?
Why I repeatedly come back to this question is because language has separated us into two classes and that division has only grown worse. English as a status symbol is a bigger barrier today than caste. I know how deeply it is holding back our rural youth.
The solution "government schools offer English medium to everyone" does not work and has never worked. Instead I propose that all our children - rich and poor - must be educated in our own languages as it happens in countries big and small and as it happens in all of the nations of EU.
Yes that means that every kid in Bengaluru must study in Kannada (not just learn Kannada!) and in Chennai must study in Tamil. Countries like the Netherlands with a quarter of the population of Tamil Nadu make it mandatory to learn in Dutch only after a year of enrolling in school there. Children do learn quickly.
So before you react emotionally to my suggestion "how dare you suggest my English fluent children study in Tamil or Kannada medium" ask yourself if that has served our nation well. Are we bringing up our children to have no pride or attachment towards India, particularly the vast majority of our people who do not speak English? Are we not alienating our own children from our roots?
Please don't bring up "IT jobs". We build sophisticated tools like compilers and the team mostly speaks Tamil. We never made it a requirement to be fluent in English and our engineers learn enough English to read English documentation, just as engineers in Japan and China and Korea and Germany all do.
And we do have a lot of non-Tamil speaking engineers too and since they choose to live in Tamil Nadu they learn enough Tamil to work with colleagues. This is what Indians learn to do when we migrate to, say, Germany. It is not the big deal we often make it out to be.
So we must stop making excuses. It starts with our mental attitudes towards our nation and our fellow citizens.
You cleared the toughest exam in India to amassed disproportionate assets!
@IASassociation
The reason Bengaluru still doesn’t have a suburban rail? Because we have an IAS officer like Vasanthi Amar — the Special Deputy Commissioner at @KridePrm — who has already accumulated ₹9 crore in assets in no time. To earn that kind of ‘commission,’ she must have compromised at least ₹900 crore worth of public assets. She’s overseeing the stalled suburban rail project!
Every Government project, Central or State, must have a board like this on-site.
With full details: Contractor, Cost, Timeline, Officials in Charge & Maintenance Schedule.
Public Money = Public Right To Know.
Accountability starts with visibility. 🙏
We really need a website that shows:
> Which contractor built the road
> Which babu signed off on it
> Total cost & ministers involved
> Firm responsible for maintenance
All this info must be public. We should also be able to rate & review roads.
Time for real accountability!

Mango season has officially begun, and this year, the Indian Postal Department has once again stepped into the fruit market with its popular doorstep delivery service. Launched on April 7 in Bengaluru, the initiative allows customers to order premium mango varieties online, which are then delivered directly by postmen In collaboration with the Karnataka State Mango Development and Marketing Corporation (KSMDMC), the Department of Posts facilitates the delivery of mangoes sourced directly from farmers in Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, and Kolar districts. The service aims to eliminate middlemen, ensuring that consumers receive fresh, chemical-free mangoes while supporting local growers.
Each order consists of a 3.5 kg box of mangoes, with delivery charges fixed at ₹82, in addition to the cost of the selected variety. Customers can place orders through the official KSMDMC website — https://t.co/9B4gFTG93n — where they can view available mango types and prices listed by registered farmers.
Once an order is placed and paid for online, a confirmation message is sent via email and SMS. The information is then shared with the postal department and farmers, ensuring mangoes are dispatched promptly. Deliveries typically reach customers within two to three days.
Since the service began in 2019, over one lakh mango boxes have been dispatched from the Bengaluru GPO, generating ₹83 lakh in revenue for the postal department. The initiative continues to receive strong support from both farmers and mango lovers across the city.

#Bengaluru Techies Protest with a Twist!
On ORR, Panathur & Balagere’s techies are back on the streets—this time with songs, slogans & savage T-shirts! Fed up with potholes, sewage on roads, dust storms & vanishing pavements. People sang songs coloured potholes.
Indian flights have gotten super expensive now days. Here's why!
Good to see you have raised this issue through your video.
Back in 2017-18, flight from JPR - BLR used to cost ~3000/- but now the same flights costs ~8000/-
That's more than 150% of jump within 6-7 years.
