I feel truly privileged to have shared the screen with you in nearly 20 films — from New Delhi, Nirakkoottu, Idavelaikku Shesham, Dinarathrangal, Parampara, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha and Thanutha Velluppan Kalathu, to many, many more. Some of these films became iconic milestones and remain deeply etched in the memories of audiences.

Looking back, I realise that the privilege was not merely being part of successful films, but of witnessing, over the years, the remarkable journey of an actor who has constantly challenged himself, reinvented himself and pursued excellence with an extraordinary passion for his craft.

A Padma Bhushan, a multiple National Award winner, and an artist whose brilliance has transcended generations — you have created a legacy that few can ever hope to equal.

On your 75th birthday, I wish you the very best of health, happiness, peace and many more glorious years ahead. May you continue to inspire, surprise and enthral audiences with the magic that only Mammootty can create.

The two big “M”s are in this movie…
But they didn’t come as stars.
They came as experience.

Mammootty Sir doesn’t perform dialogue…
he releases weight through silence.

Mohanlal Sir, he is simply existing inside the frame.
That ease cannot be learned.
It can only be lived.

Fahadh Faasil once again proves.....
Fear, confusion, intelligence…
everything passes through him like electricity.

And Kunchacko Boban…
what a graceful surprise.
Softness outside… storm inside.

This is not a Malayalam movie…
In the name of a Malayalam movie, they have quietly taken an English movie!

But the director didn’t simply “take” a film…
he took us inside the film.

The making of Patriot deserves a separate applause.

Nowadays, technology is available for everyone…
but taste is not.

This film has taste in every frame.

The director has handled the subject with maturity and control.
No scene tries too hard to impress,
yet every scene stays with us.

And the cinematography…
the camera didn’t merely capture faces,
it captured fear, tension, and silence too.

And the cameraman…
not camera-man…
“care-man”!

Because every frame was handled with care.

The people in this movie are not acting.
They are living.
No performance looked performed.

Nowadays, many films want us to watch.
Very few films make us feel watched.

Patriot did that.

That is the real success of cinema.

#Kalamkaval 3.5/5 The biggest strength of this investigation thriller is the casting. Veteran @mammukka had the guts to do this role and proved his versatility once again. #Vinayakan as Jayakrishnan alias ‘Nathu’ is brilliant. The cat ‘n’ mouse game between the two keeps the audiences hooked till the end. The interval block was a banger and unlike normal murder thrillers, here, there is no suspense as we know the killer and it’s just the investigation which is able to keep you engaged till the last scene. On the downside, the modus operandi of the crimes had loopholes and was not believable enough after a while! On the whole, the film lives upto the expectations it carried 🙌
