Remembering Malcolm X is an event marking his visit to Smethwick 1964 & to pay tribute to his life, legacy & the lessons we can draw for the challenges we still face today. Places are limited so please book early via Eventbrite - https://t.co/NRlR2VSmBO
@loubylou60 All the very best Karen. Thank you for being you and making a genuine difference. Ladywood was where I started and met you. It was my last day 26th July. Sending warm hugs x
In this slaughter of the innocents, there are many, many sickening things. None more so than the silence of liberals otherwise happy to build lucrative careers in academia & media on the backs of black ppl's historic suffering. But cat got their tongues come Palestinian lives.
500 murdered in a hospital . This is collective punishment. Will English Premier League still fly Isreal flags? Where are sanctions? Where are the ICC arrest warrants for Israeli leadership. War crimes without impunity & with western complicity. Breathataking hypocrysy.
There can be no justification for this. None whatsoever.
If people can not be safe in a hospital, where can they?
This attack must be unequivocally condemned in the strongest possible manner
Ceasefire is needed now. Innocent men, women & children must be allowed to leave Gaza
Thanks to @mukhtardar260 for the invitation, and to the IWA, @WeAreBRIG, and The Heath Bookshop.
And I got to see the gorgeous new Grunwick Strike mural on Soho Road on my way (from a bus window anyhow).
