California lawmakers are moving to exempt most Linux distributions from the state’s upcoming age-verification law after backlash from the open-source community.

The original law would require operating systems to verify a user’s age during setup and share that information with apps through a built-in system API.
Because the wording was broad, many developers believed it could apply to Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora.

That led to backlash from developers, who said the rules would be hard for volunteer-run open-source projects to follow.

In response, lawmakers introduced changes narrowing the law’s scope and likely exempting most Linux distributions.

At the NicoNico Chokaigi convention, Minister Kimi Onoda declared that the global success of otaku culture comes purely from the passion of its creators and fans, not from politicians or outside influence.

A known otaku with production experience, she promised the Japanese government will never interfere in creative decisions and will actively shield artists from any foreign complaints or pressure.

@DauraPso2 I just want them to just answer the player related plot threads they started. Memory loss and recovery, what happened to the characters people actually cared about, etc. A lot of the issues with the story are self-inflicted.

Lets get this out of the way. Lucia is very likely Vael or connected to Vael. Vael used the six-winged serpent imagery of Lucifer in his design and had a crown to show his station. Lucia has a similar crown, and the name is similar to Lucifer.
