Tommy says his favorite thing about his job is training the crew. He enjoys helping employees achieve their career goals, whether it’s an apprentice training for a competition or supporting an electrician as they work their way up to a superintendent role like him.
We are proud to announce 2 Eldeco employees recently graduated from the @ABCCarolinas Apprenticeship and Craft Training Program! Congratulations to Marvin Giron and Robert Jowers on this incredible achievement as they continue to further their construction industry education.
#NationalSafetyMonth is quickly coming to a close, but we recognize that this year’s celebration is particularly important for our industry. 2019 saw the highest number of workplace deaths since 2007 in the US, which reminds us to always focus on safety.

We were able to show our employees that a straight, short putt with distractions can be almost impossible to make and how those same distractions mentally can cause us to make mistakes in the field for not having a clear vision of the task at hand. #ConstructionSafetyWeek
The second exercise was putt-putt with a twist. Each participant was given three chances to make the putt, however, obstacles were applied during their turn that directly affected their vision.
The 1st exercise was the Game of Operation. Team members were asked to remove bones until they hit a buzzer, and while 95% of the participants took the chance with their skills and lost, they were able to share that when you assess a task, instructions matter.
#ThrowbackThursday to our activities during #ConstructionSafetyWeek! This year’s theme focused on the mental aspects of safety, like how we respond under pressure or during change. Our Safety Team developed 2 activities to illustrate how mental distractions impact performance.
Congratulations to DJ Neubauer for passing his CHST Exam! We are so proud of the time and effort our team puts in to advance their safety knowledge and improve their industry skills.
