Prepare for takeoff. ✈️ Flight simulator is now available globally on web to all users. https://t.co/hQP0No142P
We've recently added many our most powerful professional desktop features to web. Elevation profiles, new import types, but there's always been one other feature you've been asking us to add to the web version of Google Earth, just for fun...
Where will you fly? Share your best maneuvers, views, and flyovers with us!
Project Genie is a @GoogleLabs experiment that lets you simulate dynamic worlds you can navigate in real time with Genie, our general-purpose world model.
Today, we’re connecting Project Genie to nearly 20 years of Street View data from Google Maps — so you can now build interactive spaces based on real-world locations.
Street View imagery in Project Genie is available now for places in the U.S., and will expand to more locales over time.

Woot! You can now simulate real world places by grounding Genie 3 experiences with Street View imagery.
Google sitting on the mother lode of real world data, and is starting to put it to work!
Let's dive into some prompts & locations I tested...
Genie 3 🤝 @Waymo
The Waymo World Model generates photorealistic, interactive environments to train autonomous vehicles.
This helps the cars navigate rare, unpredictable events before encountering them in reality. 🧵
The @Kaggle Game Arena has added our results for Werewolf, Poker and Chess.♟️✨
These challenges test the skills AI models need for the real world – like contextual communication, building consensus, and navigating ambiguity.

Google Trends has reimagined the Trends Explore page. With Gemini capabilities, it’s now even easier to take a closer look at trending searches to find insights and dive deeper into a topic.
Indeed, basic research funding is important and beneficial. My colleagues Urs Hözle and Partha Ranganathan recently did an interview-format-style discussion w/ Magdalena Balazinska about the importance of basic research and its influence on Google.

Waymo's system, fueled by careful collection of a large volume of fully autonomous data, is the most advanced, large-scale application of embodied AI today. Very proud to see this level of engineering rigor tackling safe autonomous driving making the roads safer for everyone (and it has been nice to see various Google research collaborations with Waymo be a part of these advances!).
The insights here are foundational for how we design and safely scale all complex AI systems.

Big day — we’re starting to rollout freeway driving for public riders in Phoenix, LA, and the Bay Area. We’re also connecting SF to San Jose, and adding curbside access to SJC Airport. A true testament to the generalizability of the @Waymo Driver. Excited to bring its proven safety record to freeways and unlock new opportunities for our riders! https://t.co/AJGs3euDa0
Riding in a @Waymo autonomous vehicle is an amazing futuristic experience, straight out of science fiction. So excited to see the service coming to my hometown in London 🇬🇧! Can't wait for Londoners to try them out soon!
We’ve made millions of miles of memories over the past 15+ years, but today is special. We’re returning to where the journey began, gradually opening our doors to our first public riders in Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, and parts of Sunnyvale.
