They gave Orihime an extended scene where she stalls the big bad, partly offsets his power, protects her man & heals him to get him back in the game. What more could you want as a fan.
Without breaking established lore or doing too much due to emotional power ups etc, she did her job.
Even Yhwach stopped taunting or laughing when she got up at the end. 👏🏼
