Welt bericht dat de regerende CDU-SPD-coalitie van Duitsland de eisen van de oppositie heeft afgewezen om publiekelijk bewijs te leveren voor de bewering dat Rusland achter de vermeende poging tot drone-aanval op de luchthaven Leipzig/Halle zat.

De SPD'er Sebastian Fiedler zei dat het bewijs bij de aanklagers moet blijven zolang het strafrechtelijk onderzoek loopt en later in de rechtbank moet worden gepresenteerd, in plaats van in stukken aan het publiek te worden vrijgegeven, en hij voegde eraan toe dat als de bondskanselier en de minister van Binnenlandse Zaken publiekelijk verklaren dat Rusland verantwoordelijk is en dat er geen twijfel over bestaat, het publiek die beoordeling moet vertrouwen.

AfD-, BSW- en Linkse Partij-politici hebben bewijs geëist, terwijl de Groenen en de Linkse Partij de regering ook hebben beschuldigd van het nalaten om het parlement voldoende te informeren over het onderzoek.

Welt reports that Germany’s governing CDU-SPD coalition has rejected opposition demands to publicly produce evidence for its claim that Russia was behind the alleged attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle airport.

The SPD's Sebastian Fiedler said the evidence should remain with prosecutors while the criminal investigation is ongoing and be presented later in court, rather than released piecemeal to the public and he added that if the chancellor and interior minister publicly state that Russia was responsible and that there is no doubt, the public should trust that assessment.

AfD, BSW and Left Party politicians have demanded evidence, while the Greens and Left have also accused the government of failing to keep parliament sufficiently informed about the investigation.

Moscow denies responsibility.

Beter laat dan nooit. Kommersant meldt dat Rusland officieel 5G heeft gelanceerd, waarbij de vier grootste mobiele operators van het land het netwerk uitrollen in 16 steden, waaronder Moskou, Sint-Petersburg, Kazan, Jekaterinenburg en Krasnodar.

Ongeveer 10 miljoen abonnees hebben al toegang, waarbij nog eens 50 steden tegen eind 2026 5G zullen krijgen.

Better late than never. Kommersant reports that Russia has officially launched 5G, with the country’s four largest mobile operators rolling out the network in 16 cities, including Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar.

Around 10 million subscribers already have access, with another 50 cities due to get 5G by the end of 2026.
