His first attempt was a review-request app that sent a generic message to everyone at the same time of day, regardless of when their actual appointment finished. Response rates were mediocre because the timing felt random to customers.

We tied the review request to the actual job-completion timestamp instead of a fixed daily send time.

𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲: manual texts sent whenever he remembered, response rate around 8%
𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿: automated request sent 90 minutes after job completion, response rate around 24%

The review volume increase alone moved him up in local search rankings within six weeks.
