Michigan has fallen to 44th in 4th-grade literacy. That's after record-setting budgets and spending. I believe reading improvement begins with real books, paper, and pencils in the classroom, not tablets and laptops.

I believe in parental rights first and removing political agendas from the classroom.

I know we need major reform in our IEP and 504 plan system.

The money should stay with the student; education options should be limited only by the parents' best judgment. That includes protecting homeschool families.
