The Museum of American Armor got a new pair of Nikes just in time for Christmas — that is, a pair of Nike anti-aircraft missiles like the ones that sat on half a dozen launch sites across Long Island during the Cold War. @ArmorMuseum#LongIsland https://t.co/MCbHIxhocx
Part of the exceptional team from Atlantic Crane, the operating engineers and the teamsters who honored our Cold War vets by donating their services to move the Nikes.
Holiday greetings from the MOAA - We've never had an opportunity to pay tribute to the men and women who served during the Cold War until today. Through the donation of time, labor and equipment from the Operating Engineers and Atlantic Crane we had two Nike missiles delivered.
