Launched the construction of the Gachika- Wangui- Mundoro- Gaitete road, part of the Mau Mau roads project
Out of the 1,656 kilometers prioritized for upgrading to bitumen standards in Kiambu County at a cost of 152 billion shillings, 368 kilometers are complete at a cost of 20 billion shillings.
Three major highway projects will boost the economy of Kiambu: the ongoing dualing of Rironi - Mau Summit and the Muthaiga- Kiambu Town roads and the proposed construction of the Thika- Nairobi Expressway which is at the design and feasibility study stage.

Stopped at Mundoro Township in Gatundu South to acknowledge greetings from residents.
Took time to explain to them what the Government is doing in terms of development and citizen welfare in the area and the wider Kiambu region.
1,656 kilometers of roads are earmarked for tarmacking in Kiambu County at a cost of 152 billion shillings, out of which 368 kilometers have been constructed at a cost of 20 billion shillings.
The Gachika-Wangui- Mundoro- Gaitete road, which is a section of the Mau Mau road network, is part of this road network.
52 billion shillings from the Housing Fund is being used to construct 29 fresh produce markets in Kiambu County, including the 55 million shillings Mutati Market which is ongoing and the soon to start 400 million Mundoro Modern Market.
The Fund is also supporting the construction of 17 affordable housing projects and 13 student hostel accommodation facilities within Kiambu County, including the 900 homes at Gatundu AHP site at a cost of 2.5 billion shillings and the soon to start 580 bed capacity hostels at Gatundu Technical Training Institute.
Kiambu farmers are also benefiting from reduced prices of fertilizer, certified seeds and sexed semen for artificial insemination of dairy cows, provision of milk coolers and improved prices of milk and coffee sales.

Stopped over at Banana Township to acknowledge greetings from residents of Kiambaa.
Used the occasion to update them of ongoing development projects in their Constituency and in Kiambu County in general.
Of the 1,656 kilometers of roads earmarked for tarmacking in Kiambu County at a cost of 152 billion shillings , 368 kilometers are complete at a cost of 20 billion shillings.
The roads built in Kiambaa Constituency by the current administration are:
1. Kiambu- Raini- Kasphat
2. Karura- Gachie - Rivarori-Gacharage
3. Nduota- Gathanga- Kiguaru Junction
4. Banana- Raini- Karuri High School Junction
5. Banana- Ndenderu and
6. Banana- Ruaka roads
The following additional roads have been contracted and construction will begin immediately:
1. Kimachia - North Power
2. Gatuikira-GD-Njoro- Kiguaru, and
3. Roselyn Total - Ruaka-Gituamba- Gacharage - Ndenderu roads.
Three fresh produce markets are under construction at Muchatha, Ndenderu and Kawaida and construction of a fourth one, Karuri Modern Market is set to begin.
New requests for additional projects will be prioritized in in the next budget.

Inspection of construction works, Nyambari- Uplands- Kambaa- Githunguri road.
This 15 kilometer road is part of a 53 kilometer road network within Lari Constituency that will be built under the same contract, including Kagwe- Githunguri and Kagwe Mung’eero Roads.
This administration has tarmacked to completion the Nyambari- Kijabe- Mahi Mahiu road and plans to tarmack the 11 kilometer Kinale- Kiracha road.
The dualing of the Rironi Mau Summit highway is on course, to convert it into a 4 lane and in some sections 6 lanes highway at a cost of 20 billion shillings.
In Kiambu County, 1,656 kilometers of new roads are under construction at a cost of 152 billion shillings out of which 368 kilometers costing 20 billion shillings have been completed.
The DP @_KithureKindiki inspected the Nyambari ESP Market & roads, and updated residents on President Ruto Administration projects.

Apart from the immensely consequential 200 billion shillings Rironi - Mau Summit dual carriageway, this administration has prioritized the tarmacking of 1,656 kilometers of roads in Kiambu County at a cost of 152 billion shillings.
Out of these 368 kilometers are completed at a cost of 20 billion shillings.
Out of the nearly 600 fresh produce markets being constructed country wide, 29 are in Kiambu County, including Nyambari ESP market which I inspected earlier today.
The value of markets, affordable housing and student hostel accommodation projects nationally is about 800 billion shillings, including 52 billion shillings worth of projects within Kiambu County.
The Lari Affordable Housing Project, for example is at 30% to completion, to provide 752 homes for residents at a cost of 2.2 billion shillings.
Kiambu County has also benefited from reduced fertilizer, seeds and sexed semen prices and the increased returns from coffee and milk.
1.5 million residents of Kiambu out of the target population of 2.4 million people have enrolled for the medical insurance scheme administered by the Social Health Authority.
Last mile electricity connection projects worth 432 million shillings are ongoing across Kiambu, to light up 2,500 additional homes, while the 500 million shillings Escarpment Irrigation Project is almost complete to support commercial farming.
