🇨🇳🇺🇸The loudest voices in Washington want to wall off US and Chinese biotech. Are they winning?
🎙️Today at noon on @endpts Post-Hoc Live, I get into it with John Stanford of Incubate, former US intelligence analyst Anna Puglisi, and our own @maxonwifi https://t.co/WsKsGWyqo6
@TheStalwart@jaycaspiankang Was chatting w/ a fellow school parent who coaches wrestling and has sent a bunch of kids to D-1, and asked him what the big factors were in whether kids would be elite. He said two things:
1) "puberty"
2) "show me an 8yo state champ and i'll show you a kid who quits by 18"
@TheStalwart@jaycaspiankang As a former dedicated athlete... so many transferable skills and I love working with former athletes! Great life training. But I also don't know if you need our insane current culture to get that.
@TheStalwart@jaycaspiankang I'm assuming this is "sad outcomes as an elite athlete" and not "sad outcomes on the Dartmouth Crew Team > bank analyst desk" pipeline

Ask about China trials, PRC military sites and informed consent in trials:

Are pharma's China deals the new tax inversions?
Today I wrote about one of my earliest beats in healthcare: M&A transactions that let US companies flip their tax jurisdiction to low-cost Ireland... until Congress and the Obama admin got fed up: https://t.co/PknyEyXOEu

@TheStalwart Got an incredible sandwich place and retailer here in the burbs run by an Italian guy and it slaps because he doesn't yet realize he could be charging $20 for a box of gourmet pasta
I had the pleasure of interviewing Arati Prabhakar, former head of DARPA + OSTP, about a vision for AI. Fun, big conversation about US ambition, public policy, and the different goals of industry + govt. Thanks to @StanfordMed for hosting: https://t.co/Y2NSpXfCEy
